3. General information about data processing

3.1 Scope of personal data processing

We process personal data collected when you visit our website only for the purpose of providing a functioning website and its content and services. Principally we process personal data of our users only after their consent. An exception applies to cases, where it is not possible to obtain consent before, but the processing of the data is permitted by law. The transfer of personal data to third parties only takes place within contractually secured order data processing with our internal companies of the GLEICH group as well as our IT service providers. Principally the GLEICH Aluminium GmbH will be responsible for this data.

3.2 Legal basis for the processing of personal data

Insofar as we obtain the consent of the affected people, that consent is the legal basis for the processing ( Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

Art. 6 para 1 lit. b GDPR serves as the  legal basis for the processing of personal data that is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party. This also applies to processing operations required to carry out pre-contractual actions.

To the extent that processing of personal data is required to fulfill a legal obligation serves Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR as legal basis.

In the event that vital interests of the data subject or any other natural person require the processing of personal data serves Art. 6 para. 1 lit. d GDPR as legal basis.

If processing is necessary to preserve the legitimate interests of our company or a third party, the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the person concerned do not outweigh the former interest. In this case serves Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR as legal basis for processing.

3.3 Routine deletion and storage duration of personal data

The personal data of the data subject will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply.In addition the personal data will be stored if it is prescribed by the european or national legislator in EU regulations, laws or other regulations to which the controller is subject . If a storage period prescribed by the legal standards expires, the personal data will be blocked or deleted unless there is a need for further storage for a conclusion or a performance of a contract.

4. Website, user accounts, newsletter and contact form

4.1 Description and scope of the data processing

Use of our website is generally possible without any specification of personal or business data. The IP address and general access data will be stored without any personal reference. This includes data such as page impressions (number of clicks on our site), date and time of access, type of protocol, status of access, sizes and names of retrieved files, name of your internet service provider and details of the page through which you have reached our website.

Under certain circumstances, we will ask you to give us information about yourself and /or your company, par example for concluding contracts or creating a user account. Personal data may be also required if you wish to receive our newsletter. Depending on the offer, this information may be your e-mail address and /or the name of your company and /or your first and last name, your street, your place of residence, your postcode, your telephone number, information about your job.  For payment transactions you have to give us the necessary bank data for the payment processing. We always collect and process such personal information in accordance with the legal requirements and the following explanations.

   4.1.1 How do we process and use your personal information ?

Your personal information is stored in a contact database by the GLEICH Aluminium GmbH. Principally GLEICH Aluminum GmbH uses this information only within its own company and only for the purpose for which it is intended, eg. for the execution of contracts or delivery of goods. The data will only be transmitted to the service provider in order to carry out the contract that you have concluded with us. For example, we pass your data on to the shipper responsible for the delivery or for the processing of payments (credit card, direct debit) to the designated banking institution, where you have declared expressively that you consent to it.

   4.1.2 SSL-encryption

In order to protect the security of your data during transmission, we use the current state of the art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) over HTTPS.

Forwarding to third party companies or organizations is not possible without your permission. A possible transmission of the data takes place exclusively in the context of an order processing, i.e. if the responsibility for processing remains with the GLEICH Aluminium GmbH.

   4.1.3 Newsletter

In accordance with your explicit consent, we will regularly send you our newsletter or comparable information by e-mail to the e-mail address you provided.

In addition, you can always contact us directly and notify us of your request via the contact option specified in point 2. of this privacy policy. Your corresponding data will be deleted immediately.

   4.1.4 Contact form

If you contact us via e-mail or contact form, you grant us the voluntary consent to use your data for the purposes concerned.  This requires the information of a valid e-mail address, the name of your company, your first name and surname, your street, your place of residence, your postal code and your telephone number. These are used to assign the request and the subsequent reply to the same. Specifying additional data is optional. The information you provide is stored for the purpose of processing the request and for possible connection questions. After completing the request, personal data will be automatically deleted.

The object of the website of the GLEICH Aluminium GmbH is the target group specific presentation of the company and its services on the internet with the aim to offer additional opportunities for contact, to win you customers, to manage offers and orders and to inform our customers by newsletter.

Based  on our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer in the sense of article 6 para 1 lit. f. GDPR) we use Google Analytics, a Web Analytics service of Google LLC (“Google”). Google uses cookies which generate information about the use of the online offers by the users. This information will be usually transferred to a server of Google in the USA and will be stored there.

Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and provides a guarantee to comply with European data protection law: (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active).

9. Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager. This service allows website tags to be managed through a single interface. The Google Tag Manager only implements tags. We use the online marketing process Google Ads (formerly Google Adwords), a service of Google Ireland Limited, Google Building Gordon House, Barrow St, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter referred to as “Google”) to place ads on the Google advertising network (e.g. in search results, in videos, on websites, etc.) so that they are displayed to users who have a presumed interest in the ads. GLEICH Aluminium uses products and services for analysis and marketing purposes, which are provided by Visable GmbH (www.visable.com) in cooperation with them. To that end, pixel-code technology is used to collect, process and store data in order to create at least pseudonymised, but where possible and sensible, completely anonymous user profiles. Our website uses a live chat of Userlike UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Probsteigasse 44-46, 50670 Cologne, Germany. You can use the live chat as a contact form to chat with our staff in near real time. At the start of the chat, personal data is collected, e.g. date and time of the call, browser type/version, IP address, operating system used,
URL of the previously visited website, amount of data sent, first name, last name and email address.

We collect and use all data generated when using our GLEICH Alu app (app can be downloaded from the IOS Store or Google Play Store) only within the framework of the applicable data protection regulations.
